About

The Cave Den LLC is an event marketing company dedicated to creating memorable experiences and providing high-quality merchandise, including clothing and various other items. We were founded in the spring of 2022 at the campus of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Our mission is to foster a safe and positive environment for both our guests and the companies we collaborate with, ensuring that every event and interaction brings out the full potential of all involved.

Rooted in the values of family and the push for positivity in the black community, The Cave Den is more than just a company—it’s a family affair, cherished by my friends and loved ones. Every member is educated and holds a college degree. Our motto, “Jambo letu hili…” meaning “This thing of ours…” in Swahili, embodies our commitment to building a close-knit, supportive network that transcends business.

At The Cave Den, we strive to turn every endeavor into a success, making lasting impressions and forging strong connections along the way.

Ashton Carter Memorial Foundation

In Loving Memory of Ashton Carter
September 7, 2004 – September 6, 2025

Ashton Carter, of Chicago, Illinois, was a bright light whose presence left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. A Business Administration major with a minor in Marketing, Ashton was a dedicated scholar and leader who maintained a 3.8 GPA while inspiring his peers with his drive and compassion.

A proud Meridian Scholar, Ashton served as a Student Government Senator, an active member of the Black Student Union, and a shining example within the Iota Pi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., where he held positions as Treasurer (2023–2024) and President (2024–2025). His leadership extended beyond campus as a member of the NPHC Council, always committed to uplifting his community and empowering others.

Affectionately known as “the youngest in charge,” Ashton embodied excellence, humility, and purpose. His influence reached far beyond his years, and his legacy of leadership and love will continue to inspire all who knew him. He was the best of all of us truly.

He is survived by his mother, father, and brother, who will forever cherish his memory and the joy he brought into their lives.

May Ashton Carter’s light continue to shine through the lives he touched. This foundation will deliver scholarships to the youth of Chicago, Metro East, and SIUE students. It will also bring awareness to driving tired and impaired.

We miss you & love you lil bro, You gone live forever!
